Description:

The Intercounty Connector (ICC) will link existing and proposed development areas between the I270/I370 and I95/US 1 corridors within central and eastern Montgomery County and northwestern Prince George's County with a state-of-the-art, multi-model east-west highway that limits access and accommodates the movement of passengers and goods.

Midasco is performing the lighting and intelligent transportation systems which include extensive high mast lighting, low level lighting, electrical rough-in, copper cabling, dynamic message signs, toll rate signs, CCTV systems, vehicle detection, toll system rough-in and fiber optic cabling. Unique aspects of this project are field level integration of ITS devices into Maryland's CHART system and generator back up of the power systems.
