Description:

Springfield Interchange was an eight year; $676 million project undertaken by VDOT to improve one of the most heavily travelled interchanges in the nation. The interchange included 24 lanes at its widest point, fifty bridges, separated local and through traffic, 167 guide signs, twenty variable message signs and 555 light poles.

Midasco participated in all phases of this mega project and performed a combination of signing, lighting, traffic signals and intelligent transportation systems including overhead structures, foundations, ground mounted signing, low level lighting, high mast lighting, electrical rough in services, copper cabling, CCTV camera systems, fiber optic cabling, hub buildings, integration, testing and training.
