Midasco awarded a new project!

The project will involve Midasco working as a subcontractor for Concrete General for the Rehabilitation of I-95 South of the Fort McHenry Tunnel. Midasco will be installing dynamic message signs, furnishing and installing sign lighting including power feeds and performing structural and electrical inspections and repairs to high mast light poles. The project is scheduled to complete by the end of 2010.

Midasco awarded a new project!

The project is for the Maryland Aviation Administration to install overhead and cantilever signs with lighting systems and electrical feeds at Baltimore Washington International Thrugood Marshall Airport. The work also includes open trenching and directional boring. This project is scheduled to begin in April 2009. The project is scheduled to complete by the end of 2010.

I-495 HOT Lanes Mega-Project to start!

I-495 Hot Lanes Mega-Project, Fairfax County, Virginia - Midasco has been contracted by Fluor-Lane, LLC to install 147 overhead sign structures including overhead signs and lighting. An additional component of the project is the installation of ground mount signs. The project is scheduled to complete by the end of 2012.

Midasco Sponsors Annual Blood Drive!

Midasco partnered again with our neighbor Peri Formworks to sponsor our second annual blood drive with the American Red Cross. The blood drive was held, Wednesday, February 25th from noon until 6pm. We were able to collect 19 pints of blood which will help serve the local blood banks in the Baltimore area. Thank you American Red Cross, Midasco and PERI employees for donating your time to the blood drive.

Midasco has received notification to proceed!

Midasco has received a notice to proceed from the Maryland State Highway Administration to begin furnishing and installing Dymanic Message Signs statewide. The project is scheduled to complete by the end of 2011.

The IC3 (Inter County Connector Contract C) project a Joint Venture of Shirley Contracting Company, Facchina Construction Company and Trumbull Corporation is up running and ready for Midasco crews to begin work.

Installation of phase 1 completed! Renaissance Technologies @ Telegraph Road Variable Speed Limit (VSL)

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is debuting an innovative traffic management system called Variable Speed Limit (VSL) to assist drivers approaching Beltway/ I-95 lane closures associated with the Telegraph Road Interchange reconstruction, the final element of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge Project. To maximize traffic flow, specially trained operators will control the system as it varies the speed limit on the Beltway.
